“Draw the art you want to see, start the business you want to run, play the music you want to hear, write the books you want to read, build the products you want to use – do the work you want to see done.”
- Austin Kleon (Steal Like An Artist)

Lava Lamp Lounge was born in July of 2023 and so far it has grown into an energetic community of creatives that support one another, show up for each other, connect through weekly art meet-ups and feel inspired through weekly creative inspiration + motivation.
I am your host - Morgan!
Here’s a little about me:
I am a mixed media artist + educator + creative coach living in Columbus, Ohio.
I have a passion for people + community and find my biggest joy in supporting other creatives on their journey.
As a working artist, I maintain a consistent art practice and have shown my art work across galleries nationally and internationally. I have participated in 3 solo shows, 27 group shows, and have completed 3 artist in residencies. Learn more about my art work by exploring my website below!
I am a current artist in residence at The Kiln Room - a ceramic studio in Columbus, Ohio.
On the side, I also host + organize a free community arts event + flea market in my hometown: Lake Side Flea. This event is aimed at supporting small businesses, creatives, vendors, musicians, and non-profits, while meshing together art + music + nature on the shoreline of Lake Erie ~ at the Ohio State Park Headlands Beach.
ALSO - WHY LAVA LAMPS?
Lava Lamps have an abundant amount of hidden meanings as a symbol of creativity. They are not only nostalgic objects reminding us to tap into our inner child + artist …. colorful, fun, and playful, but they also provide a beautiful example for their viewers to reflect on:
slowing down - how can we take moments to slow down + be present?
the flow - how can we be reminded to trust in the process + flow of creative living?
What other connections to lava lamps + creativity can you think of?
Thanks for being here, lounger!
Welcome to my pride + joy [this art community] - Lava Lamp Lounge
